Christian Nilson, MD

Ophthalmology

Dr. Nilson is a board certified Ophthalmologist (Eye MD). He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of the eye.  Performing thousands of ocular and periorbital procedures and specializes in cataract, glaucoma and oculoplastic procedures, he continues to offer the most advanced ocular care in the industry.

Education & Training

Dr. Nilson completed his undergraduate training at the University of Utah and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Mandarin Chinese with 2 minors; one in Asian Studies and one in Chemistry. He received his doctoral degree from Ross University School of Medicine. Following graduation from medical school, he completed an Ophthalmic Pathology/Research Fellowship at the Moran Eye Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He completed an internship in the Family Medicine program at the University of Colorado in Denver, Colorado. He then went to Augusta, Georgia where he completed a pre-residency fellowship in glaucoma and his ophthalmology residency training at the Medical College of Georgia.

Dr. Nilson is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the Utah Ophthalmology Society.
