FCMC Transitional Care Unit re-opening to visitors

With Idaho in Stage Four of the state’s reopening plan, Franklin County Medical Center’s Transitional Care Unit has opened the facility to visitors. Under new guidelines, strict restrictions and rules have been implemented for the residents protection. For their safety, we will be limiting the number of visitors and advise you to call 208.852.4130 to schedule an appointment between 8 am-8 pm to visit your loved ones.

During these unprecedented times, we ask that you take precaution and help keep our residents healthy. If you experience any symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not schedule an in-person visit. If you wish we can set up a call through Skype, Facetime or phone.

If you schedule an in-person visit with your loved one, please adhere to the following:

  • Frequently wash your hands with soap and water or apply alcohol based hand sanitizer
  • Limit interaction with others in the facility
  • Restrict your visit to the residents room (do not touch any surfaces outside of the room)
  • Wear a facemask the entire visit
  • Keep the visit short (30 minutes or less)
  • Limit of one or two visitors (must be 14 years or older)
  • Be conscientious of meal times

If you develop a cough, shortness of breath, fever, chills, muscle pains, headache or loss of taste and smell within two weeks after your visit, please notify the FCMC TCU. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding this matter.

For questions and concerns, please call 208.852.4130.
