Willow Valley Medical Clinic has been approved to be a COVID-19 vaccine administration site. The State of Idaho has a plan in place to roll out the vaccine systematically. As an approved site we have committed to following their guidelines as they provide us the vaccine. The following vaccine prioritization ranking is based on federal recommendations, Idaho COVID-19 Vaccine Advisory Committee (CVAC), and governor approval.
PHASE 1A: HEALTHCARE PERSONNEL
- Hospital staff essential for care of COVID-19 patients and maintaining hospital capacity
- includes support staff, clinical staff, and medical imaging professionals
- Outpatient clinic staff essential for care of COVID-19 patients and maintaining hospital capacity
- includes vaccine administrators
- Long-term care facility staff
- includes staff of adult day care facilities and intermediate care facilities for individuals with intellectual disabilities
- Home care providers for adults ≥ 65 years of age, or for other adults or children with high-risk medical conditions
- includes staff of certified family homes
- Emergency Medical Services
- Outpatient and inpatient medical staff not already included above who are unable to telework
- includes school nurses, Idaho National Guard medical staff, blood center workers, psychiatric residential treatment facility staff, radiation therapists, and optometrists
- Dentists, dental hygienists and dental assistants
- Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy aides
- Public health and emergency management response workers who are unable to telework
- includes Idaho National Guard deployed to support public health response, state and local public health COVID-19 responders who are unable to telework
- Long-term care facility residents
- Includes residents of long-term care facilities within correctional or detention settings, residents in certified family homes, and participants in group adult daycare programs
PHASE 1B + PART OF 1C: FRONTLINE ESSENTIAL WORKERS & ADULTS 65 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER
- First responders (firefighters/police) and safety (protective services/community support)
- Coroner and medical examiners
- Idaho Fish and Game and USDA law enforcement officers
- Adult and child protective services
- Child welfare workers
- Community food, housing, and relief services
- Education: pre-K–12 school staff and teachers and daycare [childcare] workers
- Residential schools or facilities providing behavioral health treatment
- Correctional and detention facility staff (other than medical)
- Adults 65 years of age and older
- Food and agriculture workers
- Food processing workers, includes USDA processing plant inspectors
- Grocery, convenience store, and food pantry workers
- Idaho National Guard (if not already included in group 1.4 or 1.7)
- Manufacturing workers
- Public transit workers
- U.S. Postal Service workers
We offer the Moderna Vaccine at no cost, this is given in 2 doses 28 days apart. Willow Valley Medical Clinic is currently collecting a list of all patients who would like the vaccine. Please call 208-840-1146 to sign up or fill out the COVID-19 Sign-up Sheet. The clinic will reach out as we begin scheduling Vaccine Clinics.
