Our News Letter Online!!

Auxiliary members prepare refreshments for the
annual Hospice Holiday Tree Lighting, held on December 4th. Music and a
short talk was given, then participants hung ornaments with their loved ones
names on the lighted tree. The tree remained lit untl after the new year.
Around 100 people attended the event.


The Hospice Memorial Tree was beautifully decorated and
shined until after the new year.
 

The FCMC Volunteer Auxiliary granted wish list requests to
many departments on December 11, 2006. Grants totaled over $8,000. Those
department receiving the grants included: Business Office - scanner, P.T. -
massage chair, Transitional Care - two recliners, Accounting - copy machine,
Lab - stat spin, Dietary - blender, mixer, microwave, stock pots, Hospice -
$800 toward their projects, Hospital - $1,000 toward a bariatric lift,
Housekeeping - scrubber, Nursing - 8 DVD/Video players, Public Relations -
pedometers for Health Expo project.

FCMC Junior Volunteers
Junior Volunteers are an important part of the FCMC team. Their contribution is appreciated and they are helping to provide a high standard of service to our patients and community. Volunteers attend monthly meetings, put an average of 4 hours per month of service in, and also serve at the various hospital events during the year.
The Junior Volunteer program is under the direct supervision of the Director of Volunteers.  
Policies, program and services must be approved by the Hospital Administrator
 and the Director of Nursing.
 Junior Volunteers must be 14 to 18 years old. Fill out an application today and come join us!
