Dr. Welter completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees at University of Oregon and graduated from the Medical College of Wisconsin. She completed her residency at University of Wisconsin where she served as chief resident. She also completed a fellowship at University of Utah.


Dr. Lori Welter has served as physician director for US Figure Skating and done research in electromyography and fibromyalgia, which has been presented internationally.


Long retired from figure skating, she enjoys snowshoeing, collecting animation art, and spending time with her growing menagerie of animals. An avid traveler, she has been to over 25 countries. Dr. Welter is married to Dr. Matthew Welter, a family physician.
